clogged or unclogged?

last night i was dealing with the beginning of a clogged duct. i nursed and pumped, and pumped and nursed, and it was still clogged. i used a steeped tea bag on my nipple (recommendation from a nurse when i had LO), and nursed some more. some of the pain went away.

this morning i woke up to a milk blister! after going to kellymom, i used some olive oil and warm compresses with massage, and had a milk explosion!!

i'm still sore where the lump was though. feels like a bruise, and is painful (albeit way less painful).

did i unclog it you think? or did i just express the surrounding milk?

Another trick is hot compresses and dunk your boob into a bowl of as hot as you can stand water than massage and repeat.

I need to know what is a milk blister???

looks like a whitehead pimple...and is super painful.

i just got back from the doctor, and he said i am in the clear! still in pain, but hopefully that will go away in a few days now that it's unclogged
