Anyone else have a little helper?

DD has to help me with anything I do.  She will freak if I don't let her.  It was really cute at first, but now it's with everything.  She will start unloading a dirty dishwasher if I don't catch it in time.  She puts her spoons/forks in the drawer and pulls her cups out.  She will take clean laundry out of a basket and "fold" it for me or try to put it in the washer.  If only I can get her to throw hers and DS's diapers again.  She used to to that for me and I think it got old.

  • Yes! DD is the same way... She's like a mini mommy.. so cute. Always changing diapers and wiping her dolls lol!

  • Yes, and I agree-used to be cute, now it's a bit exhausting.  I'm constantly having to find things for her to "help" me with or she flips out.  I try really hard to find things though so that I can (hopefully) keep this helping thing up.  Eventually she actually will be helpful.  I think.....lol!

I let her load the dishes (of course I have to go behind her and redo it), unload the dishwasher (much easier), move clothes from washer to dryer, sometimes "fold" clothes, feed the dogs (with much supervision), cook dinner (she LOVES that)....still thinking of other things.  The only problem is that she REFUSES to help me clean up no matter what.  The one thing she really could help me with!  geesh!

  • Yes, DS loves to help.  I try to include him in housework, yard work, and meal prep whenever I can.  One day, I came home after a long day at work, and he offered to help me take off my shoes :)
DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.
