Little Red Riding Hood (costume made by Grandma)

Nanna already did a Halloween poll but here are some Halloween questions anyway :)

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  I am always horrid at figuring out a costume - so I am just going to be wearing a masquerade mask & a wizard's robe.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  I love both!  Next year I don't know what we are going to do, since we will want to take DD out trick or treating, but I also love seeing all the kids in their costumes!

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  We didn't this year, but next year we are going to all be Batman villians (DH will be Scarecrow, I will be Haley Quinn, and DD will either be Batgirl or baby Poison Ivy).

Have a great week!

Re: Baby pic Monday - 10/31 - Happy Halloween!

  • YAY! I've been waiting for this :-) Thanks!

Since Liam visits my office on Fridays, I've decided that he can meet with and advise students. Here he is at work ;-) (That's a tiny pic of Shakespeare right behind him.)

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  I have a great costume which a student gave me (Victorian Vampire), but I'm teaching today AND tonight, so I'll wear it next year.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  I feel like I always end up teaching a night class on Halloween. I guess I like handing out candy at home. I used to dress up to do that.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  I'm sure we will someday. Jared is dressing up as Slash from Guns'N'Roses today for work. (He teaches guitar, so that fits.) And he's teaching from 4:00-6:00, so I'll drop Teddy Bear Liam off with him so I can teach from 6:00-8:00. (Don't ask why Slash has a Teddy Bear. There's no rhyme nor reason.)

As far as next year, everything depends on our work schedules.

ETA:  siajara, your Little Red Riding Hood is SO cute!

    Chase LOVES his broccoli!

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  We have a murder mystery party that we attend every year.  This year my character was a vampire, so I reused that costume for my other Halloween party.  Probably won't get dressed up tonight though.

Which do you prefer, trick or treating, or handing out candy at home?  We usually go to my In-laws house every year to hand out candy.  They turn off the light, except for strobe lights in the windows, rent a fog machine, and play haunted house noises.  Then, the guys go outside and do their best to scare the kids while the women refill the candy bowl, and watch from the windows.  The neighborhood kids look forward to it every year.

Any plans for a family themed costume, this year or next.  Not really.  DH really wanted to use Chase to make a Quato from Total Recall, this year, but couldn't figure out how to do it.  That's still not family themed though, since I wouldn't be part of that.

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  I'm not...I'm lame :(

Which do you prefer, trick or treating, or handing out candy at home?  I love handing out the candy and seeing all the kids' costumes!

Any plans for a family themed costume, this year or next.  I'm sure once Dylan gets older we'll start doing more with holidays.

PS...sorry for the large pic...I copied and pasted from FB.  It's from visiting my B and SIL to see my new nephew!  Here's a pic of Dylan and his cousin in their costumes!

    My Little Halloween Pumpkin!

Here he is in his big boy bath! He loved playing with the toys.

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  Not this year... My boyfriend is out of town and we live in an apartment, so no trick or treaters. Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  I love to hand out candy, but soon I will be taking my son out! I can't wait :)

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  When we were at Boo at the Zoo my Boyfriend was coming up with all sorts of ideas. I think next year we will do the Wizard of Oz theme or maybe a Flintstones theme since I want to dress Liam up like a dinosaur! Too many decisions

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home? Both!

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  I tried to talk my oldest (7yrs old) into her and LO being Thing1 and Thing2 and I could be Cat In The Hat.    She's not having it. LOL

    Monster baby! (not amused, apparently)

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  I'm phoning it in and going as a black cat in blue jeans.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home? Our neighborhood sucks, and we've never (in 4 Halloweens) gotten TOTers, so we take the kid(s) up to BIL's house and TOT up there.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  Yeah, but not this year (though the kids are both monsters this year). I don't know what we'll be next year, maybe I'll let DS pick again.

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume? I'm not dressing up aside from wearing a Halloween tee

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  We always take C out to trick-or-treat together. We don't really get a lot of trick-or-treaters at our apt so we leave a bowl of candy out for anyone that might come by. We go to the neighborhood next to our complex

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  Our oldest is dressing up as a firefighter and the twins are dressing up as his dalmations. They'll be riding around in the stroller while our oldest goes door to door.

Being a Halloween monkey is hard work. :D

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  I'm boring and didn't dress up. But DS got two costumes, so I think that's enough creativity for me.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  I always preferred giving out candy, but I think next year I'll really love trick or treating. Bringing an 18-month-old around to people will be a lot of fun.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?) Maybe next year! We have a whole year to figure it out.

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  I went as Batgirl, very last minute costume I found at walmart (they clearanced to 75% off) this afternoon while picking up milk.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home? Tough question, next year I think it'll be trick or treating, Chloe is going to love it so I want to see her joy.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)
Not this year...and probably never with hubby since he likes to dress up to scare the kids.  But I got Chloe a batgirl costume (it's 3T) so for at least one year we will have the same costume.

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  No costume for me.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home? Both for different reasons, though we only got 1 group of kiddos to our house (we live on a busy street with no sidewalks) and Nora is and will be too young for real trick or treating for a few years.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  We're definitely cheesy enough for that, but we don't have any solid plans for next year yet.

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume? I was going to be Bride of Frankenstein but DH worked graveyard and I was at home with a sick strawberry baby :(

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  I love both too... I dressed LO up and took her "reverse" trick or treating and handed out candy to a few close neighbours. We don't get any trick or treaters at our place.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  No ideas yet but the Bumpers are great inspiration!!

  • All of the portraits I took of her are on my blog here

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume? I was Dorothy at work.  My department put on a full movie version in two minutes.  It was epic.

Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  If there is candy involved I'm there.

Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?)  Next year I think I'll do a theme for the baby and the dog.  I'm thinking LO will be little bo peep and I'll put a sign around the dog that says, "lost sheep".

If you are dressing up for Halloween, what is your costume?  Only people who watch Dexter on Showtime will appreciate this, but I was Lumen.Which do you prefer - going out trick or treating or handing out candy at home?  Not sure, since we did neither this year. We didn't really want to walk around with Gavin yet, and no one came to our door all night.  :-(Any plans to do a family costume theme (this year or next year?) We did a family costume this year. My husband was Dexter, I was Lumen, and Gavin was Dexter's son Harrison
