TTC after 35

Hard to believe I cant post a simple response on FB

I know this sounds silly but I actually had a hard time posting a response to my friends FB pictures of her baby! Seriously my fingers could not type. Sad I know. But I did. Her baby is quite adorable.

I've been friends with her since I was five (in our 40's now) and she told me that I can watch her baby anytime. Well 9 months later and she won't even go out for a few hours so I can have some time with him. Really...I've been a nanny for 17 years and has watched kids or worked with them my whole life. More then her! Sounds petty but I'm kinda hurt by this. Dumb I know.

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

  • I am just as bad. Best I can do usually, is "like" the picture. More often than not though, I can't comment or like or anything. It sucks and makes me feel more like a bitter infertile than I already do.

  • We had this crazy freak snow storm this weekend and someone posted how she couldn't have a lazy snow day with 2 babies.  I so wanted to post a snarky "at least you have kids" comment but I didn't... I just don't post anything!

It's not silly at all.  I tend to skip right over a lot of posts just by looking at who it is.  I hope that the not letting you watch her LO is her way of not hurting you.
I would actually love to watch him. Sometimes I am in a place where it wouldn't bother me. She is just soooo over protective with him!  I had to post on her wall because I didn't feel I would be a nice friend if I didn't. Oh well....plus I LOVE the baby stage the best!
