Introduction and Temp question

Hi,

I'm a long time lurker TTC #3. DH and I just decided to start trying at the end of September. Of course I've had normal 29-31 day cycles for the last 6 months straight and now here I am on CD 39 with no AF or BFP. Anyway I bought a new BBT last week and have been recording my temps for the last 8 days. 

My question is: How much do you think the temperature in your house affects your temp? I keep our house pretty cold and I just wondered if that would affect my temps at all.

    Hi and welcome. If you consistently keep the temp in your house pretty cold then it should not affect your temperatures at all, because you'll still see a shift.  It's the shift in temps rather than the actual value that you're really interested in to determine ovulation.

    I don't find that temperature in the house makes any difference.  But stress does!  I feel like I've stressed myself to ovulate late, and therefore have longer cycles.

    BFP: 11/14/11 ~ Spotting/Betas not doubling, but HB of 113 bpm @ 6 wks 1 day!

    Thanks for the responses! Now I'm just going to keep hoping for a BFP or AF to show soon so I can move on to cycle 2.
