You know it's time to get a second car seat when

DH leaves for work with the seat in HIS car on the day that I am teleworking and going to bring C to daycare.  On Halloween costume party/daycare picture day.  Eff.

C's DCP sounded so sad when I called her to tell her that I had no way of getting C to DC today.  She's been talking about picture day for weeks.

I convinced DH to drive home during lunch to give me the car seat so I can take C to daycare in the afternoon.

Edit -- Spoke too soon...DH has a meeting at 1:30, so I have to call DCP back and let her know that we won't make it for the group photo.  Eff.

    Thanks, but on top of this car seat snafu, C has a super runny nose, and although he isn't running a fever, he's super cranky.  If he's getting a cold, I don't want him to share it with the whole group at Y's house.

    do take some pix at home

    last year, when DS was 4.5mo old, I set up my own shoot, put him in his Halloween outfit (too young to protest!), put some pumpkins on a black sheet (had it draped from a dresser and on the floor) and took some pix of him in various positions.
