Where do you keep your gifts? I picked up a couple of things this weekend at the Toy R Us big book sale, and right now they are sitting in our office. Last year I could keep things in there, but now that DS is on the move, I am going to have to find a new spot.
We have a lot of storage bins in our garage with decorations, seasonal clothes, etc. and I just put gifts in the tub. If they are too big, we take them up to the attic.
I have my stuff in the basement in bags and opaque plastic totes. DD generally isn't allowed into the basement and even if she was down there, there is so much other junk I doubt she would notice the gifts.
If we ever finish our basement, we'll probably have to store gifts in the attic over the garage.
I asked my mom once where she hid things when we were kids and she said sometimes she kept them in the trunks of the cars in dark garbage bags. Brilliant! I never went into or paid any attention to the car trunk as a kid.
I did a little holiday shopping this weekend, too. Right now, the gifts are downstairs in the basement sitting on the pool table. DD1 doesn't go down there by herself yet so they're safe.
Since my kids are very little, I keep them on the top shelf of their closets- that way I know who gets what, and I know where they are. My son rarely looks up to the top shelf, so I've gotten another year of keeping presents there. I also see the gifts frequently, which is good for me because I'll forget what we have if I don't see them on a regular basis.
For now all of the gifts we have purchased for DS fit on the top shelf in our linen closet. He is only 2.5 so we are not concerned about him finding his gifts. (yet!)
Can I just flaunt that my shopping is 90% done and everything is wrapped?
*blows on fingernails*
For now, I just stick them in random closets/drawers, etc. At this point, Jackson still doesn't get it so I am good. Next year I'll have to get more creative/organized. I am thinking black trash bags or dark-colored totes stuck in the closet.

They go into one of our spare bedrooms closets. DS is way to young to have to worry about him finding them. Once he's older we will have to find a new spot.

I think this is the last year I can pull this off
