Ugh, I haven't watched this show in a while but I just flipped it on....the newest wive is KU already?
I try not to be bitter over other peoples pregnancies, but I seriously don't like these people (yes I shouldn't watch the show, but it's a trainwreck, sometimes cannot be helped). Combined they've already got more kids than they can really spend time with (though I feel for Meri since she had such troubles having just the one) and I really cannot stand Cody.
Vent over.

I agree, Cody seems skeevy to me. And why do all of the wives dress like that...long sleeve shirts under camis, workout shirts, etc.
I like Meri, and I bet she feels quite ripped off.
I couldn't do it, but I don't judge them, however...
HE IS SO CREEPY!!!

I agree. It's nothing I ever could or would want to do, but I watch the show. I don't exactly have a reason why, but...I do. It's like I keep watching to get a better understanding of why they choose the lifestyle they do, but I know I'll never understand their reasoning.

I was wondering that myself. I honestly think it is something to do with their religion. But on a hot day in Las Vegas, hot DA M n they must be hot.
It could be the special undergarments that Mormons wear? Not sure if that's for both LDS and FLDS or what they even consider themselves, but I know I've read about them. It's kind of like long underwear, I think.
Or they might just do it for modesty's sake. I do the same thing for modesty and out of respect for myself as well as my husband. If I have a shirt that is, in my opinion, too revealing - I'll wear another shirt underneath it. But I don't have too many revealing things. I'm usually just in jeans and a t-shirt.

I like the show, and I totally don't judge their lifestyle. It isn't a choice that I would make, but they have all entered into their marriages willingly and without reservation, and I believe that freedom of religion allows for this choice for them. I personally wouldn't be able to deal with the jealousy that would come along with it, and I believe in monogamy, but "I get" the reasons that they site for choosing their lifestyle; it is what works for them.
While I think that Cody is pretty odd, I really like all of the wives. I guess I feel like a man would have to be a total narcissist to choose that arrangement, but I don't totally understand the dynamic, so I could be wrong.

LDS here and if the FLDS are anything like us T-shirts are perfectly acceptable. However tank tops are not. It is interesting in how they dress and I wonder if they do need to wear long sleeves.
Reading your post about wearing modesty clothing was like a breath of fresh air!

YES! Whenever I see your screen name I can't help but think of that episode and giggle! This is my favorite part of that episode:
Dwight: We--- Don't you wanna earn Schrute Bucks?
Stanley: No. In fact, I'll give you a billion Stanley Nickels if you never talk to me again.
Dwight: What's the ratio of Stanley Nickels to Schrute Bucks?
Stanley: The same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns.
Dwight: Okay---
