3rd Trimester

Should i call the dr...

I was off my feet all day yesterday(except for doing a few things around the house and chasing my son all over) and i was actualy sitting down folding laundry last night...when i noticed my feet were a little bit tingly. So..i look down..and i had noticed (which they werent like this earlier in the day) my feet and ankles were very swollen.

I finished folding laundry...went and laid down..woke up this morning...and there still very swollen.

Now..i had preeclampsia with my son(who is almost a year old). He was deliverd a month early.

I am 32 weeks.

 Should i call the dr?

Re: Should i call the dr...

  • I prob would, esp because you had preeclampsia before. Doesn't hurt to get checked. My Dr has told me he would rather have me call and come in so he can figure it all out even if it turns out to be nothing....it's his job to try and figure out, not yours.

  • Do you have a BP monitor to check your BP?

I'd do that first, but with your history I'd probably call my doc too.

  • I get that totaly...and the thing that sucks is that my job consists of alot of standing at a computer and talking on the phone taken reservations...so its not like i can sit down and relax most the day.

I called registerd nurse last night..she told me to come in.

But when i calld the nursery people..they told me just sit and relax.

I am down to going weekly for my appts already bc i am a diabetic...but at the same time..i feel fine. Like i dont feel differnt...except for baby  being SUPER low already.

  • I dont have a bp monitor..but since i work with my mother..she is gunn bring hers to check it out.

Could it be im retaining alot of water as well?

  • Agreed. I was told the same thing by my midwife. I would just to be safe, expecially if you have had preeclampsia before. GL!
