TTC After a Loss

DH tired of BD this cycle....

I so want to catch an egg this cycle... but DH is tired of BD....

Granted, we've BD the last three nights, but this is my second peak day according to CBFM and I really wanted to hit both peak days....

I haven't been temping regularly this cycle because DD is sick and keeps calling for me in the middle of the night - so I've been jumping between beds... I hopefully can temp tomorrow and hope that my temp spikes (although we won't know for sure if that is my first temp spike).

Re: DH tired of BD this cycle....

  • I totally know that feeling when you need DH to be up for BD and he just isn't. I've tried to telepathically send him messages that BD is 1st priority, like now. Haha... It didn't work.

Just know that your chances of catching the egg are about the same if you BD once or everyday during your fertile window. With good CM, sperm can live up to 5 days waiting for an egg.  GL!

  • Maybe try some womanly tricks (lingere, teasing) to get him in the mood?  Does he know your cycle?  Sometimes it stings them if they know you are O'ing and you just want their sperm... I've seen a few ladies post on here about their boys going on strike during the fertile window.  Tongue Tied  Just do what you can to get him in the mood for some sexy time, without the pressure of "catching an egg"... hope that helps.

Sending some "DH behave yourself and give it up" vibes your way... Good luck!

  • I agree with pp's.....  Try some sexy tricks. Dressing up and catching him off guard helps too. But, my DH is the same-if they know your cycle it's a lot of pressure and out of performance anxiety (though they won't admit it) they simply refuse for other reasons. :(. Good luck! And as Hippo said, good sperm can live for DAYS in fertile CM.  FX!!

  • Thanks, ladies! We had a long talk and work has been really stressful for him. So I'll just take what I can get and be supportive of him during this tough time.... and get some tricks for next cycle ;)
