Cake....

I have been craving cake for like a week (that anniversary post didn't help Wink)..... I am about to go pick up some ingredients to make a cake, but before I do, tell me what your favorite kind of cake is. I need help deciding!

P.S. I should add that my sister and I used to make cakes for birthdays, graduations, weddings, etc., so I am not afraid to try crazy concoctions. Give me your best ideas!

    Depends on my mood, but I generally love red velvet, carrot cake (I like the frosting...are you sensing a theme haha), chocolate and FUNFETTI :)

    Crap, now I want cake. Devil's food with chocolate frosting is my favorite and wouldn't I love to shove that in my mouth right now...

    My mom makes me a chocolate cherry cake every year for my birthday. It is amazing. Now I want some too! Thanks! :)

    ooohhh, do German Chocolate with a hint of mint. I know it sounds weird, but I had it one time and it was actully pretty good.

    Add me to the "now I want cake" list.  Might have to request my husband make one!  My family's traditional cake for birthdays (3 generations worth) is yellow cake with chocolate frosting.  It's my favorite and has to be homemade.

    Lemon is my favorite. I'm not a big icing fan so if I do cupcakes (which I like better) I don't frost them but if I do a cake I often use lemon icing. 
    I also like white cake with lemon icing.

    I actually start on Tuesday, but I am a nerd, so I am going to do a dry run tomorrow to see how long it actually takes me to get into the city via subway, and make sure I know my walking directions once I get on the street. Embarrassed Thanks for the well-wishes! I am really excited. Smile

    I never thought to put cherry pie filling in a cake...that sounds so good!

    I think carrot cake is my favorite. Yummm

    My favorite combo is chocolate cake with white icing. Entenmann's makes a chocolate devil's food cake with marshmallow icing that is SO good.

    Well I'm definitely hopping on the "I want cake" bandwagon Cake

     

    My favorite cakes are black forest, funfetti with matching icing lol, and pumpkin spice :D

    Holy moly everything is sounding really good right now.  Perhaps I will buy enough ingredients for multiple cakes. Embarrassed That chocolate cherry cake is sounding AMAZING right now, but Red Velvet and coconut cake also have a special place in my heart.  Seriously, I wish this was helping, but its not. I also love anything lemon, and yellow cake is among my favorites. Oy. This is backfiring. Sad

    How about a marzipan cake?  I'm craving that almond flavor.  

    Also, I just finished a handful of Hot Tamales that I had SO pick up yesterday because I kept seeing your sig German Girl!  LOL.

    TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

    FET 4/28/2015 - Transferred 1 M embie. 5/6/15 BFP!

    I loved the cake we had for our wedding (and anniversary).  It was a mocha cake with a heath toffee buttercream.  DELICIOUS!  When I am not eating specialty cake, though, I love yellow cake with vanilla frosting or funfetti frosting.

    My favorites are chocolate with either peanut butter or caramel frosting.

    I am getting a spice cake with pumpkin praline this week for a coworkers bday, and I am too excited over this.
