After trick-or-treating we were out eating.  A woman walks by carrying the most precious little baby and DH says, "Hey look at that cute little baby."Crying

    I'm sorry, sweetie.  The first encounter with a baby is always tough, but I hear once you've done it, it gets easier from there.  *hugs*

    It is hard.  It stays hard, but it's not as bad as you get further away from the trauma.  Hang in there.  DH and I intentionally look at cute babies now.  It still stings, but it's sort of like exposure therapy.  The more you do it, the easier it gets (comparatively).  I am sorry, though.  My first "baby sighting" broke my heart, and I still remember like it was yesterday.  Not fun.
