It is hard. It stays hard, but it's not as bad as you get further away from the trauma. Hang in there. DH and I intentionally look at cute babies now. It still stings, but it's sort of like exposure therapy. The more you do it, the easier it gets (comparatively). I am sorry, though. My first "baby sighting" broke my heart, and I still remember like it was yesterday. Not fun.
