DH goes back to work tomorrow (sigh) and Im a little nervous. What do you do with the baby when you need to shower. Before, DS watched TV or played in the playroom while I showered or did chores. I will never leave the baby unattended around DS #1 (even though he has not been agressive with him at all yet). When DS#2 is older, I can probably bring the bouncy in the bathroom with me, but right now the only place I leave him is in his co sleeper bed which we move into the main room during the day. Also, when your baby isnt sleeping are you holding them when you are doing stuff with your older child?
Just looking for tips or advice on how to make my life easier and smoother....thx!

I guess I could...for some reason i thought they were only for bigger babies!!!! Ill check ours out!
Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p
Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.
Bouncy seat in the bathroom kitchen, ect! It was never an issue for the older kids being aggressive toward the baby, but if you are nervous, use the crib. Now that there are more of them than there are of you, most likely, one or both will be crying a part of the day!

Ditto the others with the bouncy seat. DS used to go in his crib, DD in the bouncy seat. Now DD goes in the pnp, and DS watches TV on the couch.
Good luck! You will figure out something that works for you
I carried the bouncy seats all over the house with me. They were very happy to sit there and sleep, or take in the chaos of their big sister. I was also big on playtime on the floor, so I saw no problem with laying them out on a blanket and a few toys while I showered, picked up, changed Paige, made lunch...whatever I needed to do.
The reality is, second (and third, in my case) kids are set down far more than first/only children. And that's okay.
I don't shower much when home alone with both of them. I usually shower either when Toodle (older child) is at preschool (and Boodle is asleep in her carseat or pack and play) or at night. I've showered at home with them both only about two times and once I brought Toodle into the shower with me, the other time the baby was asleep and Toodle was playing in the bathroom where I could see him and it was a fast shower. He is not at all aggressive with her though and if I didn't see him for more than about 15 seconds I would have called for him to come back where I could see or gotten out quickly.
As for when she's not sleeping, when she was younger and didn't get fussy and turn over I'd let her hang out in the rock and play sometimes while I do chores and he's playing, or if I'm playing with him I hold her or she does tummy time on the floor. If we go out soemwhere she stays in the carseat/stroller usually. Now that she's bigger she also goes in her exersaucer at times during the day while I play with Toodle.

I work part time, so here is what I do on the days I am home with them:
On days that Nicholas doesn't have Mother's Morning Out: I will either take a shower while Ava takes her morning nap (so she's in her crib and Nicholas is in the bathroom with me), or take it right after I give her her 1st morning bottle (sometimes Nicholas is still asleep) or take my shower after her morning nap (I'll put her in the bouncy in the bathroom with me and Nicholas can come and go as he pleases (he usually sticks around the bathroom)
On days Nicholas does have MMO, I will take my shower after I drop him off and just keep Ava in the bouncy seat (or her crib if it's naptime).
