So I bought a manual pump to use until I'm sure BFing is going to be successful. I just can't spend much money on something that I may or may not use for long. Anyway, in the pump's intructions it doesn't rly clarify what parts of the pump I can sterilize. I bought some of the steam bags to use, I figured those would be more useful for both home and work.

All the parts of the Harmony can be sterilized, since there's no mechanized parts. The steam bags are super-convenient.

The Medela website says not to use the steam bags:

Ha, shows what I know! The Harmony's my backup pump, so I don't use it much, but I have steamed it all without problem. Looks like I was just lucky.

I just boil everything for 10 minutes. Hm, it's actually been a really long time since I sterilized it... normally, I just soak and wash it, except not the handle because that rarely gets any milk on it.
