Cloth Diapering

A dumb question re: wool

So I'm looking into trying wool and fitteds but I have a question about using Longies/footies. How do u wear a onesie w them, or don't you? Right now LO sleeps mainly in l/s onesies or in zip up sleepers....

Should I just look for soakers?

Re: A dumb question re: wool

  • I just started using wool, and we just use a PJ shirt with longies. I don't have any soakers, but I did just order one. When I get it I will probably just put her PJs over it. I don't have onsies- but thats because they have NEVER worked well with her diapers. So we just kind of kicked them to the curb.

  • She doesn't wear a onesie with them, just a long-sleeved tshirt

Just find a couple of shirts. NBD

  • LO wears longies with a long sleeve shirt and a fleece sleepsack or a soaker with  fleece one-piece jammies and a fleece sleepsack.

  • I normally use shirts, but oftentimes when DH does bedtime when I'm gone at night, DS ends up in unsnapped onesies over his longies.

Mommy to DD1 (June 2007), DS (January 2010), DD2 (July 2012), and The Next One (EDD 3/31/2015)

  • I haven't tried wool yet. I'm about to upcycle a few sweaters this week (yay!), but I've read that you can just cut off the bottom of onesies and make them into shirts.

But I have to figure something out bc DS HAS to wear onesies at night or he will scratch up his back. I think he has dry skin? Any suggestions?

Ps. sorry I hijacked your thread

  • We just use long sleeve t-shirts, but I don't see why you could's just snap the onsie over the longies/footies.  It may not be fashion forward, but hey, it works.
