How old is your child?
Are you taking them Trick or Treating?
I'm undecided. Olivia has a party at school tomorrow and in one way I think that's enough for her age, but in another way, I'd feel bad if I don't take her around to a few houses. Although she doesn't eat candy yet...ugh..what to do?
ETA: Not sure if this has already been discussed, if so, I apologize, The Bump got blocked at work this week..Booooo
Re: Trick or Treating Poll
I took DD and she loved it. She actually stayed out trick or treating the whole hour and a half which surprised me. The only bad thing was that she was scared of a couple houses (especially those with smoke machines) and people handing out candy in scary costumes. We just skipped those houses, so it was NBD.
Last year we did this trick or treating thing at the businesses in the downtown square. She didn't really get the whole trick or treating thing, but she loved looking at all of the costumes.

We will absolutely be dressing them up, but no trick or treating. They're both on a diet and Stella does NOT need extra sugar.
ETA: Riley is 6 and Stella is 7 months.
But I guess that's 42 and 4 years old in human years.
DS is 2.5. This is the first year he's ToTing. He's going to the neighbors he knows, and DH will take him ToTing to IL's house. So maybe 5-6 houses max. I just don't want him getting a ton of candy. He has already gotten some and has been asking for it all day long. This morning we told him it's gone, even though there's a bag hidden on a high shelf in the cupboard
I'm super lame and I pass out non-candy things just for variety and because I don't think kids need a hugeass bag of candy.

We are taking Lucas to my inlaws to "trick or treat".
My mom bought him a little Halloween bag filled with some books and clothes instead of candy.
We will dress them up and hit 5 houses. My IL's, DH's Grandma, and 3 elderly neighbors.
Luke will get to eat 2 pieces of candy from Busha and DH and I will eat anything else they get.
B is 27 months, and yes we're taking him ToTing. We did last year as well.
We go with SIL and nieces, and only to a small number of houses in MIL's neighborhood. It's completely for the experience and fun of it, not for the candy. B gets a couple pieces and trades the rest in to The Great Pumpkin for a toy (DH takes the candy to work and leaves it on his desk for whomever wants it).
He doesn't go to school, so he isn't having any kind of party otherwise, so this is his chance to dress up and be complimented by strangers.

Zach is 5 months. He's wearing a halloween-y onesie to daycare tomorrow. They are having a party there.
I figure he's too young for ToTing, so no costume either. I'm a mean mom.
Mmmm...cake!
