Bakers..can I use my mixer instead?

I'm making Pioneer Womans Pumpkin Puree. It says I need to puree it (obviously) but I don't have a food processor. Will I mess it up if I put it in my mixer? My blender isn't really an option right now either.

    You're likely to end up with lumps if you use your mixer.  They may be small lumps, but you won't get the fine pureed texture that you would get with a food processor.

    You can always use a blender if you have one. Many times they will have a puree option on there.
