How are you doing it? Did you just go up a size? Are you using Belly
Bands? I'm really curious because all my maternity clothes (size small)
are way too big, but my regular clothes are too small.
I was a 3; I "fit" in 5's now - meaning that with the added assistance of the hair-tie-through-the-button-hole trick, my pants are on, up, and comfortable.
I hated the belly band. I am currently carrying high, so for the most part, my pants still fit. For some I use the rubberband around the button through the button hole trick. At some points during the day I have to sit with my pants unbuttoned because Tiny really hates it when my waistband digs into my belly.

I haven't needed them yet, but I'll pull out my Bella Bands when my pants start getting tight. I used them a lot with my last pregnancy because mat pants didn't start fitting well until closer to 30 weeks.

I just leave my jeans unbuttoned or do the hairtie trick. I haven't found any maternity pants that fit me and I'm thinking I never will because my sister never did either. I like the bellyband but I don't usually think of it because I don't need it.
Try on a pair of jeans in a size or two up and see how you feel about it.

Maybe you should try a different brand of maternity jeans, I have a full panel and love them. They look great too, alot like AE Jeans. Got them from pennies... However, I did have a couple of pairs of capris I was wearing (until 22 weeks) didnt use a belly band, was using a hair tie to hold them together. Honestly maternity is just soooo much more comfortable for me, I am starting to hate anything tight around my belly and I noticed my lower stomack is starting to expand alot. Hopefully you will have luck.

Because my jeans are all lower waists so far I haven't even had to use the belly bands with them. Anything that has a little bit of a higher waist I use the belly band. Still wear the same size though.

I wear my Target Be-band with my regular jeans. I have maternity jeans that I wear too, but if I want to wear skinny jeans and boots I just wear my normal jeans.

I may be an exception here but 1. I hated the tight restricted feeling of the belly band and 2. with all 3 pregnancies I managed to steer clear of ALL maternity pants and jeans because I was so darn sick in my 1st trimester I would lose weight and then by the time my belly was huge I would just wear my dress pants and jeans low (below my belly) and of course my maternity tops would cover them. I'm 31w and bigger now than I was with my first two children at 37w and still wear most of my pre-pregnancy shirts & pants BUT I'm curvy as it is w/large breasts so my shirts are usually not super fitted and have some room in the belly.

I lost weight during my 1st tri and haven't gained it back yet, so for now, I just button them up and roll them down in the front. In fact, I haven't needed to buy ANY maternity clothes yet!

I'm 19 weeks and still not in maternity clothes. I'm using the belly band but honestly am not a fan because it keeps rolling up on me. I can still zip up my pants half way and I use a hairtie or rubberband, loop it through the buttonhole and put it around the button. I make sure my shirts are a little longer to cover.

I actually did go up a size. Luckily my BFF wore a size larger and lost down to my previous size so we did an even swap with all of our jeans and then I use a tummy sleeve with them also.
I've lost so much weight since found out im pregnant i dont think imma ever need them lol
This is exactly what happened to me in my first pregnancy. I haven't lost as much so far this pregnancy, but I'm still not in maternity pants. Just wearing regular pants, no bella band, etc.
I never wore mat clothes with any of my pregnancies, and never went up in size. I just unbuttoned my jeans and wore a belt. That did the trick. Maternity clothes just were never comfortable to me, they felt like they were cutting off the bottom of my stomach.

I went up a size and use the hairtie with a belly band trick. I could probably go a few more weeks in them since I'm carrying high, but I'm getting big enough to fit into maternity pants and they're so much more comfortable.
i got maternity jeans from gap that are a demi panel. they fit like normal but just have like a stretch waist band. i think i'll be good for at least the rest of this tri with just those. and also leggings, i wear a lot of those.
