Has anyone looked into the toddler and pre-k programs here? Know anything about pricing or had any personal experiences? I'm trying to get a personal feel for the family experience here, but will also be scheduling a visit myself.
I'm going to be home with the girls for the next year, but am thinking we need to get our fannies in gear to get on a waiting list somewhere for next fall, right?
Re: The Goddard School Gaithersburg
DD is at a Goddard in VA and we love it; she is transitioning into the pre-school class now.
You'll have to check with the school, but I understand pricing is around $450/wk for infants. I know several folks who are happy with the Goddard at King Farm but I understand the Gaithersburg one is run by a different group.
We don't have our little girl in there yet but we're on the waiting list. We visited lots of different DCP and the Goddard in Gaithersburg was head and shoulders above the rest. There is a long waiting list. We're on it right now and we'll be lucky to get our little girl in the following June, from the sounds of it. We've settled on Child Time in Gaithersburg in the meantime. As DCtoLowcountry said, it's ~$450 for an infant - i'm sorry that i don't know the toddler prices - it's a LITTLE cheaper but Goddard is definitely the priciest of all the DCPs we've looked into.
I really liked the owners of the Goddard in Gaithersburg - both of them seemed highly educated and seemed to know what they were talking about. They used to run the one in Frederick but sold it to one of their teachers a couple years ago and started this one. It apparently is growing like mad and they're already adding more room to it.
Definitely visit it, though - it's beautiful, clean and well-organized. Hope that it stands the test of time for us ;-)
