Parenting after a Loss

omg...ANTS!

Crying  Our laundry room had a TRAIL of ants (stinging, biting ones at that).  I had cleaned out my car and thrown the fabric box with tons of randoms in the laundry room and apparently there was something in there the ants wanted.  I'm scarred for life.  I have a serious phobia of swarms of fire ants and they were so close to getting into Isaac's room!  We got them all killed with hot soapy water, so now the floor is clean to boot, but it just freaks me out.  I'd seriously rather deal with a spider.

Re: omg...ANTS!

  • When I have gotten ants we use a trail of cinnamon on either side of the doorways and around the window sills which usually keeps them away after you've killed the ones you can see. Just use a plate or a piece of wax paper if you're putting it on your sill because it will stain the wood or paint.
