Toddlers: 24 Months+

ok so how do I phase out the potty chart and

treats? DD just filled up her potty chart (after 4 days of training, yay!) so she gets a toy now. But what's the easiest way to phase out treats and charts for potty?

Re: ok so how do I phase out the potty chart and

  • The excitement of the potty chart and rewards fizzled out pretty quickly for my DD.  After a week she was going without being offered a reward.  I would think your DD would do the same since toddlers tend to get bored with things after a short time.

PS - Thanks so much for the great photo shoot today!  Can't wait to see the pictures!

Hiiii! Had no idea you were a "bumpie" LOL! Your kids were adorable today!

  • I mentioned it in my email back in July when I booked the session but I am sure you receive a million emails from clients. Thanks again for being so patient with my DD!

  • Because poop is so much harder (or was for both my girls), once they went 3-4 days without pee accidents, I dropped giving treats for pee and said okay, now you only get treats for poop!  And that's what we did.  After 3-4 days of success (took a long while for both)  I stopped offering the potty candy, but gave it if they asked for it.  It didn't take long for them to stop asking altogether.
