The trunk or treat we went to was scheduled to go until 10. They were closing down when we got there at 7:45. They said it was too cold. According to accuweather it was 47*. Allie was bummed. She was only able to ToT for 10 min. A woman felt bad and gave her the whole bowl of candy. We left and went for ice cream.
I am really afraid of what happens when it snows here. I am from TN and it doesn't get too cold or much snow. The reactions here are ridiculous.
Re: Another complaint about the "cold" in GA.
The stores will close. Everything will be closed/cancelled for at least 3 days. They will announce this as the first delicate flake hits the pavement, where it promptly melts.
Not joking.
I thought TN was bad. I think we may need to do a stock pile then. I hate doing that, but I much rather have food and water than starve.
Wow! We Trunk or Treated last night with snow still on the ground from Wednesday, and temps in the 20's. It was coooold, but fun. They had a bonfire going and everything.
Dh has family in Alabama. Everything shuts down at the first flake, stores are bare at the mere mention of snow. A stockpile is probably not a bad idea.
In a few short weeks 47 will probably sound like a heatwave to us.
