June 2011 Moms

Yes, I'm aware his ears stick out...

WHAT OF IT?! I happen to love LO's sticky-out ears. DS #1 has them and I happen to be sporting an adult sized pair. It's how I mark my young and I don't believe I could breed these bad boys out if I wanted to. I realize I may be the only one that finds them endearing. I do not need your advice on how to make them appear smaller or keep them from getting bigger.

It probably wouldn't bug me so much if the comments weren't mainly coming from my mother.  I figured I should vent here before I give in to the temptation of replying: "At least he doesn't have your nose" .Devil

  • N's ears stick out too and I think they are totally adorable (and he got them from me as well :)  Anyone who tells me otherwise can suck it.

I bet your boys are just adorable!

  • Thanks :) I'm trying to find a good pic to put in my sig that shows them off. Your little guy is too cute as well.

What the heck? Our poor kids will have plenty of time in junior high to be made to feel self conscious about their looks. How dare she!!

I hear about her ears a lot too...especially since when she was born they were stuck so close to her head like DH...now they stick out just like mine...I got them pierced and I think she looks great!

EDIT:  I realize you can't see it in my siggy...the pumpkin hat is covering the tops of her ears lol

  • Yep I'm with you too. He got them from Daddy. Once, I caught DH telling him he's going to have to learn to stand up for himself with the big ears. Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Awww, lol, he's precious! Too funny, I've overheard some comical daddy peptalks too. I don't think his ears look big? I always feel like babies are so small so they all usually have at least one feature they need to "grow into" a bit.

OP I agree with PP, let your nose comment fly if she says it again, guarantee you it will shut her up!

  • DD has them too and I think they are precious. My mom calls them elf ears, lol.  She was saying how cute they are though. Shame on your mom for making you feel bad!
  • My baby's ears stick out too, I love them! But I'll be careful not to talk about them as he gets older so he doesn't become self conscious about them like I did mine.

  • DS' ears stick out too.  At first I thought he looked funny...but now I think it's cute and I call him my little elf boy.  DH said his ears stuck out when he was a baby but he grew into them later.
