Okay Ive searched it on this web site but it seems this question only gets answered by women who have had vaginal births. Alot of people say they have had sex before their 6 week check up what about women who have had a c-section? I've been back to my normal routine since I got out of the hospital. my incision is all healed and I have little to no pain in the c section site. My bleeding is just about gone just discharged with a hint oh brownish tint. I didn't have sex with my husband the whole time I was pregnant Im dying here ladies give me some answers PLEASE!! lol
Re: Sex question!!! =P
I had a C section and waited the full 6 weeks.
Either way you give birth- your placenta leaves a hole in your uterus where it detaches. You need to wait for that to heal and for your cervix to close or else you risk infection.
I think it also depends on whether or not you went into labor.
I had a scheduled c-section.. and never had any contractions or even dilated. Once the bleeding stopped we had sex (about 3 weeks pp)
It was fine, but could definitely feel soreness on my insides. I would use protection to prevent infection, and make sure he goes very slow.
To be honest, it wasn't that great the first time -- because I could literally feel tenderness where I'm assuming either internal stitching was or where my uterus was healing. But it got better. Also, make sure he doesn't put any pressure near your incision.
It also did cause some light bleeding a few days later.

there will be a few of those ladies on this board, i am sure. you are most fertile right after having a baby. USE PROTECTION.
also, i had a c section and my Dr recommends 4-6 weeks if you don't labor before. but i am still waiting at least 6 weeks, i waited 7 weeks after DD and it hurt. make sure you take it slow and use lube, especially if you abstained during your entire pregnancy--it will feel like you are a born again virgin.
