TTC after 35

Should I be worried or am I just lucky?

Well, I am 6 weeks, and two days pregnant.  I feel no "morning sickness."  I have no sore boobs, and they have not grown larger. I have no fatigue.

I've updated my baby blog with more details, and my first belly pic if you would like to see!

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend, and awesome Halloween!

My comment may be sounding a little harsh, perhaps, as I am feeling cranky this morning, but I really think you need to move posts like this over to pregnant after 35. You are now pregnant, we are not, so we cannot compare our symptoms or lack thereof with you.

  • Sherry,

If I were you, I would just not worry. When is your appt? Try to be patient and keep busy until then.

Your belly pic looks really cute! I couldn't do that yet, because I'm a pretty chunky lady so I probably won't show until 17 weeks.. or at least that was the case with my 19 mo old. However, my jeans don't fit anymore! Have you had increased hunger? I certainly have!

To the PP, she (like I) has been on this board for a while and feels really comfortable with these ladies. I would hope that after you get your BFP, you'd still feel like you had friends here.

  • I'm sorry.  I didn't realize it was inappropriate to post on here any longer.  I have grown accustomed to all of your posts, and have been praying not only for myself, but for all the mothers I have gotten use to reading up on.   I wish you all well.
  • Sherry seems like you are having a great pregnancy.  I just read your blog and your belly is tiny:)  Enjoy this time while you have it...Nothing is worse than the morning sickness and everything else that comes with  pregnancy.  Good luck.
  • Sherry (and Jennasita, too):  Best of luck to you!  I didn't mind your post but I understand why others have had a reaction.  Know that we're all happy for you and pulling for you to have healthy and happy pregnancies.

BTW, it's perfectly okay with everyone, I think, for you guys to respond to posts where the siggy says PAIF/SAIF welcome.  I think people were mainly responding to an outright pregnancy-discussion post.

So don't feel driven from the board -- just please be aware that we all wish we were in your position.  :-)

  • My advice is not to look for trouble. Be thankful you are lucky so far but at six weeks, you have a long way to go. Considering the baby is a speck at six weeks, you really would not have a baby belly ( sorry can't read a pg blog at this point in my life).Good luck.

I can't do this.  Not this weekend.  Sherry, while we are all very happy for you, I agree that it is time you move to the pg>35 board, where you can share your pregnant experiences with other pregnant women.  You are no longer trying to conceive; you have.  You are not suffering from IF or 2IF, as some of us are.  Please know that a lot of us lurk on the pg board to see our board "graduates" and to keep abreast of how they are doing.

I look forward to reading your updates there.  Good luck to you.

ETA: come back when you are trying for number 2.

This.......glad I'm not the only one.  Please know that we wish the best for you, but be understand that we are all at different places in are journey right now.  Some days I'm happy to read about someone's pg-other days, I just cann't do it.  I do lurk often on PG after 35, and look forward to watching your story unfold.

  • Seriously??  This is upsetting to me.  I really do pray for every one of us to get our BFPs soon and I am genuinely happy for each and every one that is posted on this board.  That being said, I absolutely do not want to read about pregnancy symptoms on a TTC board.

Not that I want to upset you further, because this post really peeved me as well. The OP went over to pg after 35 as we suggested but then bad mouthed us there for mistreating her. But don't worry, plenty of our grads defended us!
