I started spotting earlier today and it just started getting heavier. So it looks like it is most likely AF. I would say that I'm ecstatic that AF is finally here which means I can officially start TTC again. But I'm only 10 dpo, which means a 9 day LP.
I've never charted before, so I have no clue what my typical LP is, and if this is just short because of the m/c. So I was wondering, have any of you noticed a shorter LP after miscarriage that went back to normal the next cycle?
Obviously I'm concerned since I know LP should be at least 12 days. I'll definitely be calling my doctor, but I can't call until at least Monday. So until then, I figured I'd see what your experiences have been. Thanks!

Re: Short LP after miscarriage
My loss was 4 weeks ago today. I ovulated on CD19. I wish I was reading my chart wrong, but it looks like ovulation day was pretty clear.

My doctor gave me the go ahead to start TTC right after my first AF. I'm just worried about another m/c if I get pregnant this cycle and still have a short LP. It just sucks that I'm basically looking for any possible thing that could be wrong with me. I have a hard time with believing that my first m/c was just a fluke/issues with chromosomal abnormalities.

I've recently read that your LP will NOT vary as much as your pre-o will.
Most doctors will consider 10 days to be a normal luteal phase.
I've been averaging 10-11 days during LP since my 4th m/c. I've suspected it since my 1st m/c and 4 out of 5 doctors have either told me LPD does not exist or there is no way to diagnosis it and discussed just putting me on progesterone.
I'm warning that your doctor may turn his/her nose at you when you suggest this. Just beware & stand your ground.
The 5th doctor I found through Fertility Care. After a hormonal profile on 3, 5, 7, 9 & 11 dpo she diagnosed me with Type III LPD. Its being treated w/ hcg trigger injections on 5, 7 & 9 dpo. Feel free to check out my blog. I talk about it a lot!
Good luck!

I don't have much to add because I didn't chart before my m/c. I charted the month I got my BFP, so I'm not really sure. I do know that post m/c, I O'd 4 days later than the time I charted, and then my LP was only 10 days. But again, I'm not sure if that was normal for me or not...
Thanks all for your input!
I'm sorry it took so long and that so many doctors just brushed it off. I'll check out your blog - thanks.
