DH and MIL rant. NBR

So DH came home today and announced that he couldn't be bothered the whole evening- he was going to focus on the world series. Not a big deal, I'll just do my own thing.....WELL! His mom calls to ask him a question, and starts asking about work, so he pauses the game, and has been talking to her for an HOUR and a HALF!! Ugh. It pisses me off, considering we live less than 5 min away from her, and see her a couple of times a week! DH can be a Chatty Cathy, and his mom has this super annoying knack of calling him to ask him one thing, and get him talking about stuff for hours. She lives by herself, so she gets super lonely, and will talk to anyone that will listen for as long as possible. The other week, they were on the phone for 4 hours! 4 HOURS!!!  I finally just went to bed and didn't say goodnight, I was so heated. So. Annoying,

    Ok, an hour an a half is extensive...but four?????

    Oh that would PISS me off completely! I can't bother you during the game...but your mother can for four hours?!?!

    Must have been something important or interesting!  I can't even talk to my mom for four hours if I tried, I would get annoyed after 30 minutes.

    This! Love my mom dearly but that's the same woman who will call me three different times to tell me the same thing. MIL is like OPs MIL.

    Yeah it drove me NUTS! at one point they were talking about office furniture!! at 11:30 at night!! I finally just said something bitchy and he took the hint and got off the phone. I don't even talk to my mother that long, and we live 4 hours away from her!
