  • Sounds just like me with the 2 embies!  I have a question: what is your RE's thought process about freezing these guys until you have more? I don't understand why you wouldn't just try these 2 before having to go through this again if you didn't have to. What am I missing?

  • I don't have an official WTF scheduled, but he said we would talk more about the next step / plan after Sunday... He did say he would try a different protocol with me next time around.  I think he would skip the BCPs maybe, and try some different meds and doses, but not sure.

Mrs.McIrish, I know it sounds weird -- it was an 11th hour decision to freeze and not just try since we made it this far.  Apparently my progesterone level was rising too quickly in relation to my estrogen.  Estrogen was only 725 the day of trigger and apparently they re-ran the blood work to be sure because it came back lower than the day before, which was 695... so it wasn't going up very much.  Anyway he said the levels were not supportive of success with implantation.

Have you heard anything like that before?

  • Hoping for 2 strong embies....

That makes sense but is also very interesting. My RE doesn't even test my progesterone so now your scenario makes me worry about my "womb" environment since no one is checking on it.... GL!
