Yes and no.. she was such an obvious producer/judge favorite from the beginning you could see how they'd want her to win. Her stuff was pretty I guess, but it was really about the patterns on the fabric, the designs and cuts seemed sooo easy compared to the others. Her dresses reminded me of Uli, the German lady who made patterned dresses all the time?
I haven't really understood many of the judges decisions in general, like I thought most of Joshua's show was horrid. I can't believe they liked those green Hulk just got mad shorts.
I felt bad for Viktor... he edited his show to try to please the judges and screwed himself over in the end.
I have been pretty meh on the general group of finalists the last two seasons, but I was pulling for Viktor to win, if only because he has a good understanding of how clothes should be constructed. I was never big on Anya and her collection reminded me of Uli's from Season 3, just not as good.
I was happy, because I liked Anya's clothes the most throughout the show plus I thought she was actually nice. I didn't think her final runway show was that spectacular, but it actually looked like a collection without being matchy-matchy and every piece was solid if not fascinating.
I HATED Josh's, that neon crap made my eyes bleed. It just looked cheap and out of date to me.
I like Victor a lot, but was really disappointed by his show. Anya's was unremarkable, but his was bad, with all of the see-through it just got to be far too much and did feel kind of like a runway joke.
I was surprised how much more I liked..um..the other girl (she has never stood out to me)'s collection. Thought it was pretty good, but again, not that remarkable. I think it should have come down to the two girls, though, because their shows were eh while the guy's shows were bad. Overall pretty disappointing finale runway, imo!
Her stuff is gorgeous and interesting... but yeah, only a certain woman can wear it. but Josh's stuff was horrifying. And Kimberly's stuff - well the first half of her collection - looked like cheap crap from Walmart. And the black sparkly things and that whtie outfit were pretty. But the blue things and the stupid bubble ass skirt? ew. Victor really should have won IMO. I was surprised how much they didn't like the black pieces. And I know he had more of his patterned pieces and I think if he hadn't had the extra 2 days to make new things he would have won. Because it was the new black stuff that cost him. I wish he had shown that original flowy dress - the purple one that he originally had with the white jacket... if he just had one or two of the black things he would have won for sure. No way should Josh have beat him.
Anyway, I loved Anya and she's so cute and sweet. I'm glad for her.
