TTC After a Loss

Ugh... I remember why I wanted to avoid temping...

I still have to wake up at 6:40 to take my damn temp! BLAH! Angry

Re: Ugh... I remember why I wanted to avoid temping...

  • Ugh, I think that is exactly why I never started with temping and only use my cbefm!

  • I thought about a CBEFM, but decided a basal thermometer and digital OPK's were WAY cheaper.
  • Cheaper yes, but after 2yrs ttc, it was worth every penny to me! Plus it is more accurate in letting me know when I was having my eggie, instead of after it happens.

  • I could see that... but since I have to blow $125 to have a monitored Clomid cycle, I had to go the cheap route. I hate to think how much money I've already spent on TTC... Would much rather have been spending it on a baby!
  • I am no where near organized enough to temp and chart! It would be a waste of my time! OPK's are hard enough for me! That's why I'm going to digitals next cycle!
  • Amen to that! I don't even want to think of how much the testing we are going to have to have done now is going to cost us- after insurance. thank goodness my dh has really good ins, but there is always a chunk that they don't cover.

I thought the same thing... but, really, it hasn't been that hard.

That's great that your insurance covers some- mine covers JACK for infertility stuff, which is what they consider a Clomid cycle, even though my Dr's tried to convince them it was for "diagnostic" purposes, not treatment. I hate my insurance!

  • That is horrible! I am pretty sure mine covers for if, it even said something about iui too. I should try to find the policy and see exactly what it does and does not cover. We are lucky that it has covered most all of what we have had done so far. Just the hospital keeps sending me bills for all of the stupid bw they keep making me have done. Ugh. That and they charge me an extra $18 everytime the dr office does a pg test! Hello- I've already spent at least that on hpt's at home! Duh!

  • That's awesome. We just have sucky insurance overall- we have to pay like, 20% of everything up to like, 6 grand or something. We've already met the 7% of your income that can go to medical before you can claim it on your taxes... oh joy.
  • I think after we pay something like $1800 in dedcutibles in the year, I think then ins covers that too. DH works for the state, hence the good ins.

  • My hubby works for the city fire dept, so you'd think we'd have good insurance too...
