I have a question...I was reading on the Baby Whisperer forum that most babies learn to extend their nap times on their own around 6 or so months. So these 30-45 minute naps will naturally get longer as they mature. Experienced moms, is this the case? Is all this stress and worry about extending short naps (which rarely works for my LO) something that will work itself out one day?

DD1's naps actually started getting worse around the 5 - 6 month time period. I had a hard time with her naps for several months after that. It got a lot better when she turned 1.
That said, i didn't stress and worry too much about extending them. I guess it's all a matter of perspective.
