engorgement question...

I stopped nursing and pumping two days ago. Because I've been doing this gradually, it really didn't start getting uncomfortable until today. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for my milk to dry up? I realize it's probably different for everyone, I'm just looking for a rough estimate. Thanks!!!

    When I stopped nursing my DS, I gradually weaned him until I was down to 1 feeding/day so when I stopped completely I didn't have a whole lot of engorgement and the engorgement that I did have only lasted a few days and was not painful.  My milk never completely dried up.  I never leaked or anything but (TMI) if I were to squeeze my nipple a little milk would still come out.
