What camera do you have and lens are you getting?  I cannot wait to get my new lens!

    I have a d80... and I want a 70-300mm lens and the ever popular 50mm f 1.8 (I think that's right).  And then the sb-600 or sb-800 flash.

    I am super excited.  a pro photog friend of my dad's told me that's all I'd need to do what I want to do (well that and adobe lightroom and a better laptop, bwahahahaha).

    what new lens are you getting?  and what camera do you use?

    ooo nice!  I have a Canon D50.  I am getting the 50mm 1.4.  I haven't tinkered a bunch in Lightroom, I never shoot in RAW and I really should!  Good for you!

    HA!  we'll see how it goes.

    I am mildly photography stupid right now, but I am hoping the new laptop/editing software will force me into actually learning how to use my $$$ camera.

    Currently my laptop is a piece of shit so I can barely do anything on it without it croaking, so that's my "excuse" for not really using my camera properly and not editing anything.

    I could use my husband's computer, but I am far too lazy to go into his office to do that. Plus that room is a mess and it irritates the PISS outta me.  Gotta keep my blood pressure down, lol.

    I so hear you on the going down to the office!  I hate going downstairs, but alas, the huge computer screen makes it worth it when I edit pictures=P  I tell DH that our next purchase will be the touch screen HP! 

    I cannot work in a mess either!  It drives almost drives me into a panic attack=P
