Do any of you know why we are prescribed prednisone when assisted hatching is used?

4/2 - Beta #1 949! BFP!!

if my insurance doesnt approve Neupogen, then i will most likely be on prednisone also... i honestly dont know what it does... i'm just doing what my dr tells me lol
prednisone has nothing to do with AH. it's a steriod and it's used to aid in implantation by quieting the uterus's response to something foreign (the embryo for some).
if you don't know why you are taking something don't take it until your RE has explained to you why he/she thinks you need it.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

Was he was right? I wasted 4 IVF's and the doctors were not getting the catheter in?!?

Thanks Ladies! It wasn't prescribed for my fresh cycle (no AH then).
They mentioned that the reason they are prescribing it this time is due to the AH (which they do for all FETs). I have a monitoring appt tomorrow morning so I'll make sure to ask more about it then.
