Just looking at the national weather maps. 10 inches of snow, high winds and expected power outages? Yeah, I'm betting a BUNCH of you go into labor tomorrow
Yeah I live in MD and we are only looking at about 3-5 inches of snow...... but I am thinking that maybe the change in barometric pressure could possibly have something to do with the more consistent contractions I have had over the past 2 days.... but who knows!
I'm in CT and they are making it sound like its going to be the end of the world! I guess we will have the hospital bags packed in the car and have the cars completely gassed up just in case!
It would be my luck to go into labor in the middle of a random snow storm.

I hope they're hyping this storm up! I can't believe snow in October!!! We're in Philly and they're already salting the roads!
As much as I'd LOVE to have a baby tomorrow, I was just telling my MIL that she better not come tomorrow because my husband has to drive 1.5 away to Jersey with a moving truck to get all her stuff (she closed on a house 3 minutes down the street today to help with LO! Yay!) I told her I want to come with him and she said she thinks I shouldn't. I told her its way more important to me that my husband is at the birth than being at a specific hospital or birth center. I DO NOT want to be home alone when I go into labor and DH is stuck in a snow storm with a moving truck. Of course, this is just silly worse case scenario talk-I'm sure there will be a few drops of icy rain and that's it.
I'm outside of DC, and the way things are flying off the shelves at the grocery store, you'd think we're expeciting another storm like we had 2 years ago, instead of a SLIGHT CHANCE of accumulation. People here need to get a grip, and stop hoarding bread.
I'm near Philly, and I just heard about the snow... guess I'm really out of the loop! I love snow, but I thought one of the nice things about being due mid-November was that it would be before the bad weather starts and I wouldn't have to worry about my family traveling to see the baby when she's born. Ugh. Oh, and I don't own a winter coat that fits.
I'm in MA...we're supposed to get 5-8 inches where I am...ridiculous!! I was just thinking that with my luck my water will break right in the middle of this storm...although I'm getting so impatient that I'd be OK with that
...and ditto pp, i don't have a winter coat that zips!
I'm in Maine...I think we're only supposed to get 4 inches. Piece of cake, we're used to way worse. When I was little, we used to have to wear our snowsuits under our Halloween costumes some years.

Never thought I'd be glad to be in the geographical limbo that is Ohio! We're too far west to be part of the Northeast, and too far east to be part of the Midwest.
Between the NE snowstorm and the just yucky wind/cold in the Midwest....darn, am I glad to be in between!
Hope all of you in the impacted areas stay safe this weekend, even if the storm isn't just hype!

We're in MD too. I loaded up on groceries yesterday but I think it had more to do with nesting than the snow. I doubt we'll get anything. DH is taking our DS to get their flu shots this morning and then we're all going to see the new movie Puss in Boots.

You're in Maine? Me too! - Central maine Seems like there aren't a lot of mainers on this chart. Yeah I was hoping for a storm because I figured that would jinx the baby into coming during the storm - which I'd be perfectly happy with!

We are outside of Philadelphia and we have about 6 inches now, and it's not stopping. Yesterday I felt really crampy and uncomfortable and told DH that I figured the baby was going to come during the snowstorm. I woke up to nothing this morning so I am pretty confident that this LO won't come in the next 24 hours. But it's still crazy to me that we are getting this much snow and we haven't even had trick or treat yet!
Re: Who Are the North East Mamas?
I'm in the North East, but since I am more towards the ocean, we are to only get up to 3 inches.
I feel bad for those in CT!
5-8 inches according to the latest forecast. I will believe it when I see it.
If baby comes this weekend in the snow, she's gonna be a skiier like her momma!
Yup - that would be me.

Yeah I'm in Delaware and we are expected to get 3-6 inches. I hope they are just hyping up this storm!!
