Holy Crap that hurt! (HSG update)

I had my HSG this morning.  Before we left, I took my ibuprofen (like you lovely ladies recommended) and my mom took me over to the hospital.  They got me back into the radiology room and the attendant started explaining what was going to happen.  She was super sweet about it and calmed me down from the almost panic attack I was on my way too.

Then the mean radiologist came in.....She says, "So, you're getting an HSG today?  It's going to hurt."  I just stared at her, I didn't know what to say.  So...then they get everything set up.  When they put the speculum (sp?) in...holy crap, it was NOTHING like when I have to get a pap.  Anyway....got past that, she put the catheter in and blew up the balloon and that felt like normal cramps with AF.  Then they shot the dye in there.  O.M.G. THAT HURT.  I started sweating and tearing up.  I thought I was going to lose it.  The only silver lining is that at the point where I thought I couldn't take it any more, the procedure was over. 

I feel pretty good now.  I had some mild cramping today, but haven't needed to take anything for it.  I told DH that sex is probably out of the question for the next couple of days.  Who knows what kind of damage that lady did to me when shoving the speculum in.  LOL....

Thank you ladies for your stories the other day when I was freaking out.  It helped me know what to expect.

ETA:  I guess I should have also mentioned that the radiologist said that my left tube looked great, no blockages!  Whoo hoo!
