I make crostoli every year for our friends and family. It's a traditional Italian pastry that my grandmother used to make. This recipe is kind of like mine, only I omit the rum, use regular milk, and add lots of grappa . It takes forever to make but is totally worth it! https://allrecipes.com/Recipe/crostoli-pastries/detail.aspx
I'm working on a bunch of crochet dishcloths and pot holders for friends, aunts/uncles, etc. If I have time I'm going to make a toque for my bro. My nephews will get scarves. We're trying to boost our savings a bit before we list our house / shop for a new house so pretty much everyone on my list is getting home made stuff LOL.

These look AMAZING!
Makes 6 baked apples
Ingredients
1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped 2 tablespoons trans-fat free margarine 1 teaspoon cinnamon 6 Gala or Macintosh apples, cored 1/2 cup apple juice or apple cider 2 tablespoons orange liquor (optional)
Directions
Preheat a large crock-pot on high heat and preset it for 3 hours. In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, walnuts, margarine, and cinnamon. Fill the apples with the filling and place them in the crock-pot. Pour in the apple juice or cider and the liquor, if using. Cover and cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours on high heat until the apples are soft and begin to collapse.
**I would omit the liqour and rather than ALL those walnuts I would rather use Pecans and a crumb filling...
