I'm signed up for parent helper that day and will be bringing in a treat for the party but wondering if I should do treat bags too. This is the first holiday at this school so I don't know what is typically done. My friend who is a teacher said to go for it, that she would never discourage any parent from doing something special for the kids.
Re: Are you sending in treat bags or something for the teachers on Halloween?
I sent a popcorn ball for each kid last week. M was Star of the Week. And I figured everyone would get their share of crap on Halloween. SO I'm not sending anything else.
It seems like maybe half the kids do, the other half do not (around here) but its not like I tally the ones who did and keep score. I imagine those that do not for Halloween might do something more for Valentines day, or Christmas, or maybe not at all, either way, its all good. Plus, at the preschool age, they are all about the treat itself, not who brought it in...seriously.
So its up to you...if you want to, do it...if you do not, then don't do it. It will be fine either way.

(Though my DD won't be partaking lol)
As a teacher myself, I usually get a few little treat bags, and I always think it is a sweet gesture, though I would never expect any.
Last year, we did take treat bags (one for each kid and then one each for the teacher and her assistant).
DD is at a new preschool this year and they do not really celebrate any holidays. They didn't have a Halloween party or anything, so I did not send in any treat bags and none of the other kids brought any, either. The teacher did give them each a treat on the last day of class this week.
