I'm starting to feel Lenny Kravitz more and more for Cinna. Originally I was unhappy about that casting but now I think he really can do it well.

The one I'm concerned about is Woody for Haymitch. Acting-wise I think he can pull it off but he's just not what I pictured. I expected someone more portly. This pic is also cause for concern because there's not a single moment in the book where he looks that well put together. I expected him wrinkled and hung over at best - he looks prim and proper in this picture.

Time will tell!!

omg, i can't wait! i just finished the 3rd book last week. I think woody will be good (i didn't recognize him in the pic b/c he looks so young in the pic). i think they can easily make him look old and drunk, lol. and Gale is hot! but saying that makes me feel like a creepy old lady.

I didn't know much about the casting having just gotten really into this trilogy AND I know Hollywood does this ALL the time...BUT isn't Lenny Kravitz like 45 years old? He's playing an ~18 year old (max 18, right b/c Cinna's a tribute, no?)?? Crazy.

Nope.... Cinna is Katniss's stylist so he's supposed to be an adult. Not sure if they ever mention what his age is.

Maybe you're confusing him with Cato (tribute)?

Ah - thank you! How could I confuse Cinna?? You're right, I don't think they ever mention an age for him. I love LK but that is interesting casting -- though I'm sure he'll be good, I wouldn't have thought of him for that role.

The styling for Haymitch is really odd. Even knowing Woody was in this role, that's not how I would have pictured him as Haymitch. We'll see...

Glad to see that Peeta's hair looks a lot more blond than it has in the other shots I've seen.

I can see Lenny as Cinna, but he's still NOTHING like I pictured.

Why isn't Effie's hair pink?

Also, Rue looks older here than the pics I had seen of the actress previously. Hopefully she'll play younger onscreen.

Katniss and Gale look very appropriate in these shots.
