NBR: I need bday party ideas (for me)

Y'all.

I am celebrating my birthday in November, turning 30ish, and I just cannot think of something fun to do. First b-day being happily divorced! I like the general idea of dinner then going out. I am considering renting a karaoke room at Highball, but I'd love some other ideas to consider!

    I think a karaoke room at the Highball sounds really fun! 

    If you're interested in a really unique karaoke experience, I've been to a couple of birthday dinner/celebrations at DK Sushi.  I don't know if they're still doing it, but every monday, there used to be karaoke, and it's. . .out of control.  If you do this, get there much earlier than you'd think to get a table.  Order lots of food as soon as possible, because once the karaoke starts, no one leaves and the kitchen slows down.  Also, this is not an evening you want to share with, say, your mom.  It's pretty raunchy.

    I've been to Maria Maria for dinner a couple of times, and they seem to have a salsa dancing night and a live music night. So, you could have dinner and then stick around for the evening's entertainment.
