I've been thinking about this name a lot... I usually favor names that are non-made-up, but also are either a little unusual or just not too common. I brought it up to DH, and he was not a big fan because he thought it sounded too formal. But I also think either nickname of "Teddy" or "Theo" would be very nice on a little boy.
What do you all think? Which of the nns would you like better if we want something not so "formal" sounding on a baby boy? Would it sound weird as a sib name to Jameson? TIA!

See my siggy!!
We love Teddy and think it ages just fine, but he does get called Theo by some family members. We've learned to live with it. It does seem to show up every few days on this board, but it's a timeless name that I've loved since I first read Little Women.
It is so funny this is getting popular on this board lately. My DH's grandfather is named Theodore and we always said we would use his name somehow for #2 because #1 is named after my grandfather, but I was always very iffy on Theodore.
We are using it for a middle name and I wasnt crazy about it as a first name, but it is growing on me. I particularly like the nickname Theo. Our little guy will be Dylan Theodore.
