My LO is 3 months old and I have been EP'ing the whole time (long story why, not by choice). My question is, since I've been battling a low supply, I've been pumping every three hours (used to pump every two). Lately, I seem to have hit a wall at night. I wake up for the baby, but I CANNOT wake up for my alarm to pump. I sleep thru it, or shut it off and fall back asleep and don't even remember. Will I be okay if I just pump when he wakes? This means pumping about about 8pm, 12am, 5am, and again at 8 am. Then I would resume a 3-3.5 hr schedule during the day. This will mostly feed him. Occasionally I have to supplement with Neocate. I'm very stressed about losing my supply if I only pump when he's up, but most women only nurse when their babies are up, right? Or do they pump in the middle?

Re: EP'ing 3 month old
That's exactly what I do, I pump after I nurse or bottle feed BM to LO. If you're worried about longer stretches effecting your supply try and work in another pump or two during the day so you will continue to have the same amount of pumps per day but also allowing your body the rest it needs.
Does that make sense?
