How much Halloween candy do you give out?

Last year I ran out in like 45 minutes. I don't remember how many bags it was, but only a few. This year I bought 8 bags. I sure hope it all goes, I SO do not need the leftovers in my house LOL My neighborhood is crazy busy on Halloween, some houses even hand out beer for the parents :)

  • We bought two of the big bags from Sam's Club.  Last year we had some leftover.

  • Last year, I bought two big giant bags from Costco and an extra smaller bag from the grocery store "just in case".  We ran out.  It was our first year in the new house/neighborhood.  Our old neighborhood wouldn't even use up one of the small bags.  This year, I think I got 8 or 9 bags from the grocery store.  I had coupons.  ;-)
  • Last year our neighbor had between around 700 ToTers.

I ran out about 45 minutes before them.

It was insane.  We are going back to that neighborhood this year. :D

I won't hand out any thisyear!

  • 3 Costco bags, and we usually don't have quite enough. We get a lot if kids, 200-300.

  • In the last 2 years, we have had ONE trick or treater. And I can't really even count it. It was a 14-ish year old girl who showed up around 5pm, alone, and in regular street clothes. WTF? But no, we live in kind of an awkward location in the city and simply dont have anyone come. But, that's great because then we dont have to make sure someone is home to hand out candy!
  • I bought three big bags.  We don't usually have a lot of ToTers.

  • When we lived in a neighborhood we would buy two boxes of the full size candy bars from Sams and we almost always had some left.  It was not a real big trick or treating neighborhood.

  • We had five last year. I was disappointed. It was our first Halloween in the neighborhood, so we bought three bags and ended up giving the last kid like 20 pieces just to get rid of it.

  • None. I've never had a trick-or-treater come to our house. My grandma last year went through 15 bags at 2 pieces per child. Indifferent

  • I bought two big bags at the grocery store earlier this week (and have already dug into it... Stick out tongue). Last year was the first year in our new house and we got maybe 9-10 TOTers, which I thought was pretty good considering we live outside of town. I let them take however much candy they want. I'm sure we'll have leftovers, but I take it to work.

  • I get the bag of 185 pieces of candy (whopper, pb cups, kit kats, etc) but we get a varying number each year. Sometimes we run out in 1 hour, sometimes we have 1/2 bag left. I think it depends on the weather and other random stuff.

  • None.  Sad

Nobody trick or treats in our neighbourhood.  Houses too far apart, driveways too long.  Kids like density when they trick or treat.

promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
  • In the past, I have bought 1 bag and still had leftovers.  Last year I didn't buy any and just gave out the candy that I had left over from party bags and things like that.  This year, for some strange reason, my DH bought 2 bags of candy.  I typically have about 10 kids total that come to the house and most of the candy will end up at my DH's office or mine.
