2nd Trimester

The headaches...

Anyone else getting severe headaches? Tylenol just isn't cutting it. Suggestions? I go back to Dr. in 2 weeks and will ask if there is anything else.

  • How is your blood pressure?

  • I take a dissoluble vitamin B and a Tylenol...Tylenol alone didn't work for me either, but together is heaven.

If you were a  previous coffee drinker....that could be it as well.

  • Do you have a stuffy (or runny) nose? Could it be a sinus headache? I know my alergies have been really bad this year, especially with the pregnancy. Heres a link talking about stuffy noses causing hedaches and such. Apparently Clairitin can be used for allergies, but as always check with ur doctor. I hope your headache goes away! Good luck!

  • My first pregnancy symptom was headaches... they went away. Then my M/S hit, I didnt have it that bad just felt like crap and gagged alot. Then my M/S went away at about 13 weeks and my headaches came back for about 2 weeks. Then I really didnt have any symptoms from about 16 weeks until now. The headaches are making a come back! Nothing helps me. But make sure you're drinking the 8 glasses a day and have your DH/SO rub your neck for you. The two leading causes of headaches is dehydration and muscle tention.

  • Headaches just started w/ me too.  I had asked my MW if a Coke now and then was ok in terms of caffiene intake, and she said it was fine and might even HELP w/ my headaches.  She was right!

  • I actually had to give up my caffiene all together. At about 13 weeks I had about had it with migraines and headaches. I cut back on my caffeine when I found out I was pregnant to about 1 can of pop a day...sometimes more...sometimes less. Since I have cut it out completely, I haven't had a single headache. Its been hard but yet heaven at the same time! I was going through migraine meds and Tylenol like it was going out of style. Almost 3 weeks without taking anything....its been wonderful. I have always been a caffeine drinker however between hormones and the caffeine it much of thrown me over that migraine/headache threshold. Thats the only thing I can think of!

  • You could ask your doctor about trying a chiropractor....has worked miracles for me!
