1st BDay ideas?

Hi All,

I have a winter baby and am looking for ideas for where to have a small-ish first bday party that doesn't involve hosting out of my home as we will be going out of town shortly after.

    i have an end of year baby and we live in an apt with crappy parking so we had her 1st bday at a pizza joint that allowed us use of a private room. it wasn't cheap but it was the cheapest route i could find outside of the home- plus we just had to show up and not worry about set up or clean up. they served pizza and pop, i brought balloons and streamers and a cake. it was a lot of fun and she was too little to have a party with more littles anyway.
