Detergent?

OK. I know a lot of people use Dreft or Ivory. How ever, Dreft is expensive, and I'm highly allergic to Ivory. Does anyone know if it's cool to use All Free and Clear? No dyes or perfumes at all. It's about the only thing I can use for my clothes that doesn't make ME break out, but is it OK for my baby?

  • We're using All F/C on baby's things. Haven't had him obvi, but I've heard great things about using it on baby stuff!

  • Free and clear works great. Dreft has perfumes so if your lo is sensitive it could still irritate their skin.
  • We've used All free and clear from the beginning with DS. He has very sensitive skin and we've never had issues with this detergent. MIL, and other well meaning people have washed his clothes in other detergents and he has gotten rashes from it.

  • We've always just washed in whatever we are using at the time and never had a problem.  DS doesn't have sensitive skin now, and didn't as an infant.  I would think any free and clear is better than dreft.  I don't know why that stuff is supposed to be so great for babies with the dyes and perfumes in it.

  • You can use any brands free and clear. It's actually recommended over dreft these days.

  • We're using Purex Baby but obviously, we're still waiting for baby. =D
  • We are stocking up on 7th generation baby. It doesnt have to be dreft. Any free & clear is fine.

  • We bought Arm & Hammer's free & clear and have used that for all LO's stuff...Dreft is so overpriced and NOT recommended by my mama friends.
  • We bought All Free & Clear to wash LO's clothes-- we haven't used it yet but it is a lot cheaper then Dreft.
