After 2 horrible nights of sleep (due to not feeling well and my DD deciding that it's fun to get up at 3am and play), I am desperate for some Nyquil and a good night sleep. I am typically not one to medicine up but I am feeling like absolutely cr*p.
If I take some Nyquil tonight (DH will get up with DD is she wakes up) and pump and dump in the morning (I have never done this before and throwing away 8-9oz will be heartbreaking) will that be okay?
Nyquil is not a decongestant, I believe, so it shouldn't hurt my supply, right?
Thanks!
Or any other suggestions that are nursing friendly would be great. I have a sore throat, bad cough, am achy all over, plus feeling a little lightheaded/nauesous.

Re: Nyquil + Pump & Dump, Ok??
Whatever you do, don't get the Nyquil D. In regular nyquil you've got:
So I would probably prefer to take a tylenol or Advil, some cough syrup with dextromethorphan (formulas ending in "DM"), a benedryl (to help you sleep and act as an antihistamine) and a nose spray like Dristan or Afrin to decongest (if needed, you didn't list that as a problem).
And still put DH in charge if you've taken a benedryl or 2 to sleep. That way, no pump and dumping required.
