Shea Butter on Nipples? Safe For Baby?

Hey all! My nipples are very dry and I was wondering if putting shea butter on them would be safe for baby. I have this 100% organic shea butter with nothing added to it (so they state on their packaging) - if baby ingested some would it harm him do you think? Should I wash my nipples off before nursing?

    You should probably pick up a cream that's specifically for nipples.  Lansinoh lanolin is widely available and it's safe for baby.
