I remember reading about a few ladies on here doing this... I decided to take the challenge and started reading the book. For those of you who have done it or are in the middle of doing it, what has your experience been like?

I can praise it enough. My husband was always debt free but I had school debt and some consumer debt. It changed my relationship with money and myself and totally changed my future.
We are on baby step 6. For me money is about options and I can sleep every night (well, with a 16 week old, you know what I mean) knowing that we have 6 months of savings, a 'full' & growing retirement fund, and a 30% paid off mortage (after 1 year!)
It takes LOTS of dedication and persistance and change on your part but it is totally worth it!
I'm in the middle of doing it, and it has been the best thing ever. We had to go to the "extreme" (DH got a second job) but in 1 1/2 years we have been able to pay off 1/2 of our debt, both of our cars are paid off. We were scheduled to have all our credit card debt paid off in the next two years, but DH got laid off in August so we are in a bit of a set back. I am still grateful that we started the program when we did, I can't imagine having all that debt now with one income.
Hey what is this you are talking about? Please share. I want to get rid of all my debt too if I can get DH on board. He likes to "live in the now" I am more of a plan for the future. Maybe I can find a middle ground.

We are just starting it and are on Baby Step 1 right now. It took a little to convince DH to get on board but when I showed him how I had planned everything out money wise he started to get excited about it. I think for him it helped that I have a chart with our budget set up and another showing when we should have each of our debt items payed off he is a very visual person and I am very much a planner and like to have things laid out in front of me.
Go to the library get the book and read it that is what I did once I heard the other ladies on here talking about it and I am so happy that I did.
