Hello to all!

I've been lurking for the last few weeks still in a bit of shock and afraid to "jinx" myself - had my first u/s on Monday and things are suddenly a lot more real (go figure!) 

I'm 26, been married for a year and a half, lost my high stress, very unhappy job about 3 months ago and poof: I'm pregnant!  We already have a few fur babies at home and foster others (getting to type this with a 7wk old pup on my lap!)

So long story short: Due on June 1st, 2012 and looking forward to building some friendships on here - thanks!

    Welcome!  Yay for rescuing!   I used to foster too.  I really miss it.  My last foster was adopted a few weeks before DS was born.  Are you going to keep fostering?

    We have three dogs because we "failed" at fostering twice - nobody was good enough for them!!  The third dog happened to be right time, right place and we adopted her.

    I would like to say we would keep fostering but we have two pups at the moment on top of the regulars and I haven't slept through the night since we got them - I don't know if I can do that the whole pregnancy... I was kinda hoping (ha!) to enjoy the good night sleeps a bit more before having a LO.  Maybe we'll ask for adults with a good bladder for the next bit.

    First things first - figure out why my siggy isn't changing ... by then I'll have figured out the rest of the images (brain seems to have gone mushy the last few weeks - surprise!)

    As cute as puppies are, I prefer older fosters. I am all about a dog that is already housetrained.  : )

    doxgirl, we keep going back & forth - the housetrained dogs tend to be older with behavioral issues to work on, the pups just need to be rushed outside more often and through the night... We'll get tired of the accidents (our fault usually) with puppies and get some adults, run ourselves wild for 3 months training them, then happily get a puppy that is only around for a week or two again.
